Voting is still open for the Best of West Virginia, and there are lots of nominees here in the Northern Panhandle.
One of the nominees for best farm-to-table restaurant and best chef is Vagabond Kitchen right in Downtown Wheeling. The restaurant strives to bring local and tasty cuisine while also helping with the revitalization of Wheeling. The owner, Matt Welsch, is honored that he was nominated for best chef, and is hoping to bring the "best of" award back home. "I think it's a great opportunity for us to be recognized not only by the larger state but also by the region by tourists coming into the state, and bring more business into Wheeling."
Voting ends on November 20th.
